IIS 7++ Redirect Parameters reference

This is probably old news, but it seems there is no "official" doc (MSDN/TechNet, etc) on this topic.

• For IIS6, documentation exists here
• Unless I missed it, the same sounding document for IIS7 (and 7.5) is in a helpfile (chm) from here without the detail in the IIS6 documentation. Similar references are online as well, but just the same, not in the same detail for IIS6.

So are we to "assume" the IIS6 doc on this will work for 7++?  This forum has references to this topic and out in the wild, you'll see similar blogs referring to the same parameters.  But notice where the comments state"you have to know Microsoft changed":

Other "solutions" include re-write modules (using or creating, etc.).

So, is there anything "official" from Microsoft?
