in my company , I found that
on one server, in IIS, there are many websites created and many application pools. and the relationship is one to one.
one application pool at most contains one website.
what is the benefit?
is it due to no. of processes (exe) running on the server? or easier management? easier to on off website, application pool without impacting other running services?
