We recently set application pool recycling on a specific app pool within 3 of our app servers. This was working for about a few weeks. All of a sudden we found this stopped and we no longer saw app pool recycles at 5:00AM.
I understand that the app pool idenity account needs to have permission. We did check this and the account has the ability to recycle the app pool.
What's interesting is the app pool has a specified time to recycle. However it is not recycling!!!! Yes we have enabled the setting to write this event to the log.
Where can I check to see what's going on. I would want to avoid using a "scheduled tasks" and appcmd to recycle a specific app pool .
