Newbie delegation question

Hi,

I am trying to avoid appcmd and configuration editor for now, so I use IIS mmc. I accidentally added "location tag" for a file, by clicking "Switch to content", than context-clicking "Switch to features" on the file. There was a "Revert to parent" option on the right, but then I clicked "Unlock section", and the "Revert to parent" option has dissapeared. When IIS Manager restarts, the file dissapears from the folder hierarchy view.

I would like to make sure that the file inherits future changes to the root configuration, and also to not have garbage in the config. How do I revert the action, ie. as if I didn't clicked on "Switch to features"?

(Funny thing is, when I dir-searched for applicationHost.config, it was nowhere to be found, but when I passed it to notepad, it said access denied. I am in a dilemma whether to edit by hand, since I'm not good with appcmd)
